Understanding God's Gift of Money

Hi, Sweet Friends,

Today I have been listing to a podcast from Rosemont Baptist Church, Pastor Rolland Kennison, speaks on God's Gift of Money.
"Seeing Money Spiritually" 1 Chronicles 29:10-18
The podcast is dated October 29, 2017, the link  42.19mins.

The information given is life changing.
God's blessings are there for us.
Listen to the story about the man who buys donuts for a stranger. This lesson is how we are to think of the money God gives us and how we are to give back. It's God's Money. We are stewards of this Money. Our money is really not our money,  it is God's who gave it to us.

Dave Ramsey talks about holding money in an open hand. Ownership of our money should be in an open hand because God takes, but he also gives money.

God tests our heart. We need to be serious about how we give back to God. Afterall, it is God's money and not ours.

"I can't wait to see what God is going to do when I relinquish my money to God", Rolland Kennison http://www.rosemontbaptist.org/sermons/
I hope you enjoyed this podcast as much as I have.
God Bless you today and every day. Don't miss out on what God wants to do in your life.
Blessings,
CJ

Begin Each Day With A Grateful Heart

Hi, Sweet Friends,

The subject of gratitude is so important.
First, it is important that we be greatful for the big and little things in our lives!
Second, it is such a good feeling to start the day with a grateful heart!

This week has been a challenge physically, mentally, and spiritually. I learned some shocking news, learned of a loved one dying, and my pain level is almost unbearable at times. It is hard to be grateful at the hard things in life and it is hard to be grateful when things are seeming to all go wrong. The beautiful thing about it all is that God never leaves us or forsakes us.

Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,"
Hebrews 13:6 so that we confidently say,
"the Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
what will man do to me?"

So, today, when all this life seems to be crashing down around me, I pick up my cross and follow him. I am grateful for all I have.

When all seems hopeless, Jesus is there:
When all seems dark, He is the light at the end of the tunnel:
  • 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NASB)

For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
When all seems terrifying, remember, what God said:

  • Deuteronomy 3:22 (NIV)

Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

Put God first in your life and the rest will follow.
Put faith in the Bible. Be in the WORD daily.
    • 2 Timothy 1:9 (NIV)

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

If you don't know Jesus as your LORD and Savior, won't you pray this prayer with me...

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen.
    God Bless You!

Struggling Couples

Hi, Sweet Friends,
Sometimes, we have difficulty in life together.
Here is a beautiful song that gives us hope for the future.
Casting Crowns, Broken Together, is a beautiful video and song.
God can mend our lives...

Lyrics:

What do you think about when you look at me
I know we’re not the fairytale you dreamed we’d be
You wore the veil, you walked the aisle, you took my hand
And we dove into a mystery

How I wish we could go back to simpler times
Before all our scars and all our secrets were in the light
Now on this hallowed ground, we’ve drawn the battle lines
Will we make it through the night

It’s going to take much more than promises this time
Only God can change our minds

CHORUS:
Maybe you and I were never meant to be complete
Could we just be broken together
If you can bring your shattered dreams and I’ll bring mine
Could healing still be spoken and save us
The only way we’ll last forever is broken together

How it must have been so lonely by my side
We were building kingdoms and chasing dreams and left love behind
I’m praying God will help our broken hearts align
And we won’t give up the fight

It’s going to take much more than promises this time
Only God can change our minds

CHORUS:
Maybe you and I were never meant to be complete
Could we just be broken together
If you can bring your shattered dreams and I’ll bring mine
Could healing still be spoken and save us
The only way we’ll last forever is broken together [x2]

Here is a study that has really helped me in my marriage,
Gary Smally's,

If Only He Knew, for husbands about wives

and

What Husbands Wish Their Wives Knew About Men, for wives about husbands

Only God can change our minds.

May God, our loving Father, take you in the palm of His hand during this hard time.
May you find the peace and understanding, love and compassion to come together in a union that places God first.

Enjoy!
