The Life-Changing Power of Jesus Christ

Hi, Sweet Friends,
I'd like to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with you today,

If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He is your King and your God. Then you already have the Life-Changing Power of Jesus Christ! What a wonderful gift!

What are your favorite Bible Verses?

Mine are ones that I have applied to my daily life.

Applying Bible Scripture to your daily life will change it for the better. Putting God first before you start the day. Thanking Jesus for the day, asking Him to bring "divine appointments" into your life today, and thanking Him for all He has done for you.

If you haven't opened your Bible in a while or haven't read the Word of God, you are missing out on glorious messages of love, hope, grace, and knowledge.
Do you know Jesus?
If you don't know God and His Son, Jesus Christ, open up a Bible today read about Him. Open a Bible App. Here are a few we use and have used in the past. Being in the Bible, God's Word, God will work in your life. He loves you. He gave His life for you, for your sins, and to be in Heaven with Him for eternity.

Your knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ will give you hope in the Savior for everlasting life in Heaven with Him.  You have the choice, the opportunity to choose a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ and that your sins will be forgiven.

The Life-Changing Power of Jesus Christ. He forgives your sins. The only power to change lives is through Jesus Christ from the core of our being. The transformation is within us when we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts.

Paul: Acts 17
Luke 5:26 "We have never seen anything like this."
God works in such a way that He uses us to bring others to know Jesus Christ.

Pray Ephesians 6:19 over the community you live in. To know the boldness of the Gospel Message.

Pray for a passion for the lost in our community. Pray for the life-changing power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray Acts 29 and 30 with me. Pray for others, your neighbor, your city. Know them and know their needs to pray for. Their greatest need is for Jesus Christ. Commit to putting your faith into action.

May God bless your day today and each day of this New Year of 2020! Open your Bible and read His WORD today! 💗💗💗💗

God's Blessings

The Fall leaves & Snowy Mountains.

Hi, Sweet Friends,
Have you ever thought, I mean really thought about God's Blessings? What do I mean? Well, every day we are surrounded by God's Blessings.
They may be big, like events that live in our memories all our lives
or they may be small, like the first fruits in the garden for the year.
First Squash Flower for the year.
Our lives are filled with God's Blessings.
Rurik playing with his toy duck. CJD.Sign
They come and go in our lives daily. They fill us with little sparks of joy and they make our lives easier. Like playing with a pet or watching the sunrise or sunset.
The Mesas around Rifle, Colorado. CJD.Sign

It is up to each of us whether or not we see these blessings. Its all about perspective; how we see things in our lives. We need to remember that God has a plan for our lives. God has perfect timing. He is never early, He is never late. It takes a little patience and a whole lot of faith... But it is worth the wait.
Our Adoption – The Wait List

I had a challenging week. This week I had lots of "troubles", like I had a deeply emotional session at the Dr's Office and the truck wouldn't start when I wanted to get home from the Dr's Office (thank you, Hubby, for rescuing me!), or being late to class which made the others late, or when I ripped my dress getting in the truck to go to Church (thank you, Monie, for the quick sewing repair), then I ripped the other side getting out of the truck. I got hives all over from picking the veggies in the garden.

But looking back at this week, I played every day with my pup, I had wonderful snuggles with my kitty, and enjoyed training with my pup that is finally getting it! Hubby and I collected two baskets filled with vegetables from the garden! We saw another orange Dragonfly and this time we got photos of it! We drove out of to the edge of town to shoot photos of the gorgeous sunset! We had an excellent counseling session at Grief Share through our church, Rosemont Baptist Church, and I am learning not only about grief for the loss of my Mother-in-law, but I am learning about my husband, too! We had enough of everything we needed this week, we had cooler weather and we got outside more than we did all Summer! We planted some cold weather crops, we worked on repairing the hoop house cover, we had a nice rainy night that boosted the life of the plants, flowers, herbs, and grass! I harvested and dehydrated a batch of Basil! I fixed a pair of walking boots for my Son and they look good! I made over a dozen little cute pumpkins for decorating the house this Fall! I was able to do the vacuuming, which is something that is difficult for me to do! We were able to give eggs to someone in need of them! We enjoyed our Lil' Granddaughter with a weekend overnight and throughout the week! The Southwest Winds have been nice enough to sleep without the air condition or fans on! Hubby received an awesome gift from my parents! I had my teeth fixed and they look great! And...I'm so thankful to God for these Blessings! Whether they are big or small, I am grateful for all of them!

How about you, did you have a difficult week? Did you have to quit doing something you loved doing because of time or money restrictions? Did you have quarrels with your teenagers? Did you have car trouble, like me? Did you receive bad news or difficult news, like I did?

How did you handle it? How did you get through it? Did you count your blessings more than your grief? Did you "stop and smell the roses?" Did you take moments in your days to fill them with the little blessings all around you?
Take today and journal your week. First, journal down the bad/difficult/troubles. Second, journal down all the little blessings that God helped you with this week. I'm glad my list of blessings is longer than my list of troubles!
Take time for God this week. Thank Jesus for coming into your life. Give of yourself to others in need. Be the blessing in someone else's life this next week. See the blessings all around you! God Bless you, today and every day!

Toghether...

Hi, Sweet Friends,

I have been playing around with my pens again. I started a new Bible Study online, called,"We, not Me".

What I found was that each of us as individuals come together as a "church".
  • 1 Corinthians 11:18 (NASB)

"For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part, I believe it."

We come together as "husband and wife."
"But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cling to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9What, therefore, God has joined together, let no man separate."

We come together as "one flesh".
  • Genesis 2:24 (NASB)

"For this reason, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh."
That God made man first, in His own image.
Then God saw that man needed someone to be a helper and He created woman.

So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. 22The Lord God Lit builtfashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man and brought her to the man.
23The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man."

We were not made to be alone. We were made to commune with God, with others, and with a spouse.
Biblical quotes from http://my.bible.com/

May God bless you today.
May you know that God loves you.
He created you. You are loved.

Dear One In Heaven ~ Memorial for Kelila Slate

Kelila Michelle Slate

August 30, 1978 - September 6, 2018

Service Date: September 15, 2018 Funeral services will be held at Rosemont Baptist Church, Montrose, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September. 15. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday evening, September 14 at Crippin Funeral Home.
Please sign her Memorial Page at Crippin Funeral Home.
There will be a gathering in Big Spring for friends and family at a later date.
Kelila was born in Big Spring, Texas, on Aug. 30, 1979. She moved to Dallas where she attended Brookhaven College, and then to Montrose, Colorado where she lived for the past 20 years.
Kelila had a passion for music and dance and celebrated life by performing, teaching and sharing her enthusiasm and talent. She trained and performed at the regarded Park Avenue Dance Works in Montrose. She served as the pianist for Rosemont Baptist Church and was a part of the fellowship at Grace Community Church where she served on the worship team.
Kelila taught piano and was known for her recitals at the end of each year, pouring her heart out to the children she mentored and the families she touched. In addition to piano and dance, she was also a black belt in karate.
Kelila especially loved trips to the mountains, 4-wheeling, spending time with her cousins, braiding hair, going to the movies, and her fabulous pink piano. She gave generously to friends and loved ones and was a constant and strong witness for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In 2017, Kelila wrote and published her book, Keeping Silent, under the pseudonym, Estella Stone. She was invited to speak at an assembly for students at Big Spring High School, providing hope and courage through her story.
Kelila was loved and admired for her bravery and positivity. Her contagious laughter and light were always present. She was a special, beautiful woman who shared her joy with all who spent time with her and will be greatly missed.

Published in Big Spring Herald on Sept. 12, 2018
Kelila had an impact on so many lives. Here is an article from Big Springs, TX LINK

I know Kalila is in a better place. She knew the LORD Jesus. She played the piano for Rosemont Baptist Church like she was performing solely for God. Kalila was a joy to know. She was a beautiful lady and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She will be missed, but she is no longer in daily severe pain. God called her home. She is now playing piano for Him! Praise be to God! We continue to keep family & friends in our prayers. We will see you in heaven, Sweet Lady! CJ & Matt
