How Great Thou Art

Hello Dear Ones,

A little history of my favorite hymn.
The history of the hymn How Great Thou Art begins with Mr. Carl Gustaf Boberg (1859-1940). He was a Swedish pastor, editor, and member of the Swedish parliament. Mr. Boberg was enjoying a nice walk when a thunderstorm suddenly appeared out of no where. A severe wind began to blow. After the storm was over, Mr. Boberg looked out over the clear bay. He then heard a church bell in the distance. And the words to How Great Thou Art begin to form in his heart -- O Lord, my God, When I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy hands hath made. . . Can you imagine what Boberg felt as he formed these words? There was such calmness after the fierce storm he could only utter those words of peace.

This poem, titled O Store Gud (O Great God) was published in 1891 in Witness of the Truth, the weekly newspaper that Boberg edited. It was later translated in German. In 1927, it was published in a Russian version of the German text.

How Great Thou Art -- Translated by Stuart K. Hine
How Great Thou Art was translated by Stuart K. Hine, the English missionary to Ukraine. He found some version of the Russian text and sang it at an evangelistic meeting with his wife. He then translated the first three stanzas into English, which was sung at an evangelistic meeting in England during World War One. He published the first three verses (in both English and Russian) in 1949 in Grace and Peace, a Russian evangelistic paper which Hine edited. He later wrote the fourth verse as a triumphant message of life eternal.

Of the hymn's importance he said: "When we reach that heavenly home, we will fully understand the greatness of God, and will bow in humble adoration, saying to Him, O Lord my God, how great thou art." May we all live in such a way that we will be ready when Jesus Christ appears to receive the saints. Our heavenly home awaits us, all of those who have received Christ in obedience.

Dr. J. Edwin Orr of Fuller Theological Seminary, is said to have brought the hymn to America. After hearing it sung in India, he introduced it to various Christian groups in America. In 1954, Dr. Cyrus Nelson of Gospel Light Publications copyrighted and published the song.

How Great Thou Art -- Sung by George Beverly Shea
How Great Thou Art was sung by George Beverly Shea at the London Crusade of the Billy Graham evangelistic team in 1954. He later sang this song over 100 times during a revival in New York at a Billy Graham Crusade. This caused the hymn to receive new attention in Sweden and America and be published in several songbooks.

Today millions across the world continue to sing this beautiful song. Giving God all praise, glory, and honor for who He is -- the Creator of this universe.

God be with you as you go about your day.
May your life be a testimony of your love of Jesus Christ.
Enjoy!

Through All Of It He Is There ~ Music Videos

Colton Dixon - Through All Of It

Hi Friends,

Are you a born again believer in Jesus?  If yes this response is to you as a born again believer. And if not, Let me encourage to come to Jesus, that is to know him in a personal relationship--this is Eternal life--so that  the promises of God may come on you.

This is how God's word says we become a believer/a child of God   1.  believe that Jesus is God Son (Deity) and the Savior of the world,

2. believe, Jesus's death, burial and resurrection from the dead

 3. Acknowledge to God that you have sinned against Him and repent to God of your sins,

4. Ask Jesus to come into you heart and live in you.

5. Confess Jesus as Lord

(Romans 10:9,10Romans 10:9-10 9 [a]that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, [b]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [c]resulting in salvation.)

When you do this and mean it with all your heart--this make you a believer/a child of God.

I understand that we sometimes have to deal with all kinds of issues in life. God wants to help us. Learning how to yield to His Spirit for help is important. Trusting God for his plan in our life is so important.

Receiving God's help:  Spending time in prayer with God, being Daily in HIS Word, filling our lives with His love, Embrace God's truth in faith when emotions tells us different; is a must.  We must believe what God tells us in His word, hold on to it and reject what's not true in Jesus name.

God's word tells us as we are to obediently follow Him that, He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Release the binding issues, let them go.  Pray about them and surrender it all to God.  Pray God's will be done.

  Thank God.

Psalms 3:3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Psalms 32:10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD.

Psalms 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God's mighty glory gives us patience and loving strength. God's word is Spirit and it is life. Lean on God. Learn to trust God though all that we go through in life. Pray for God to give us the strength to face each problem, trouble, situation, circumstance in our lives. Please learn to trust God as He wants to show/teaches us that He's greater than anything that we face in our lives. God loves you!

God Bless you today and always!

When the pain is just to great to bear alone,

Dear Ones,

When the pain is just to great to bear alone, turn your eyes upon Jesus. He endured pain, torture & suffering and Hid Father was there for Him. He is there for us too. God is not just a fly by night god. He is God, he can perform miracles. He does daily in our lives, though we may not recognize them as such. He may steer you clear of an accident, or keep you out of danger. And though the pain is now, and it is difficult, lean on Him. Tell Him your troubles. Ask Him for solutions. He is there, He is listening, He is your personal Counselor.

Today, I'm difficulty dealing with pain after neck epidural for pain. A catch 22, I'd say!

However, I know that I am not in this alone. Yes, my family and friends help to cheer me, hold my hand and tell me things will be better soon, but the one who is always there, the one who never leaves me for a moment is God. He is our Personal God. He has a Loving Relationship with us that can never be stripped away from us.

So today, or when ever, if you are in pain or in need of some kind, call on Jesus. He is there, He is here for you.

A Mother's Wish To Her Son

My Son,
Today is your 29th Birthday and what a blessed day it is for me too! Now that your children are older, I know you feel the happiness that I have felt on your Birthday each and every year of your life.
You are my son, my first born child. In you I have placed my hopes and my dreams. I have given you my heart since the day I found out I was pregnant with you.

When I think back to all the days that I have been blessed to be be your mom, I think on all the funny things you do, the laughter you give to others, the love that fills your heart. I think on your accomplishments in your young, 29 years. And there are so many that I often think of you as older than you are. I am so very proud to be your Mom.

I see the face of your wife and how happy she is to be with you. I see your children and how they love their Daddy so much!  Your kindness and love is so bigger than the man who you are. And that, my son, is such a wonderful thing! You give all you have for those you love and it show.

As each year passes, I see you mature more and more into a great man. A man of honor, loyalty, trust, a man of sacrifice for your family and a man among those I am very proud to know. I have see you succeed, pick yourself up when you fall, and I have seen you grow. I still see it now as you continue living a fine life.

Today on your 29th Birthday, I wish you all that this world offers that is good. I wish you love that knows no boundaries. I wish you a full and happy life, and I wish you many (29x's) many more Birthdays to celebrate.

I love you my son with all my heart!
Love,

Mom

You Are Beautiful

Be your own kind of Beautiful!!
Uplifting and Memorable.
Beautiful in Your Own Way!
You are ALL Beautiful!! Blessings CJD.Sign
Hi Dear Ones!

It is important not to conform to ways that you know in your heart are wrong; the ways of this world.
God wants us to be pure, Matthew 5:8 , filled with love, Psalms 51:10 , and have a close relationship with Him, Romans 5:8.

Dear One, You are Beautiful.
God made you to be who you are.
He will shape you into the person He wants you to be.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Be your own kind of Beautiful!!
Uplifting and Memorable.
Beautiful in Your Own Way!
You are ALL Beautiful!!

Phillippians 1:3-8

 Philippians 1:3-8 KJV
3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
